Welcome to the Cork Steiner Waldorf School website.

The school is ideally situated in Bessboro, Cork Heritage Centre and is easily accessible from both the city and the surrounding areas. The school buildings are in the farm yard of the old Sacred Heart Convent at Bessboro. Neighbours include the Heritage museum as well as hens, rabbits, geese, goats and sheep.

Steiner schools are internationally renowned for their integrated academic profile that promotes academic learning through activity rather than passively at a desk. Our teaching philosophy promotes learning in a holistic manner, developed through indoor and outdoor lessons that include both sports and lessons in our ecology garden.

New Teacher Wanted

The Cork Steiner school is looking for a class one teacher to start in September 2007. Our school is situated in the beautiful Cork Heritage Park on the eastern side of Cork City. Cork was last year's European Capital of Culture and lies on the south coast of Ireland. Our school currently has one Kindergarten group and Classes 2 to 5 being taught combined. The school is in it's forth year and has an enthusiastic and warm community spirit. We look forward to hearing from you.
